Counter-Strike 1.6 in your browser — no download, no install
The classic CS 1.6, running in a browser tab: open the page, press “Play” and you are on a server. No clients, patches or custom builds.
How it works
The game runs on the Xash3D engine ported to the browser (WebAssembly and WebGL). It is real Counter-Strike 1.6: the same maps, weapons, physics and sounds. On the first visit the browser downloads the game files once (about 150 MB) and keeps them — later visits start almost instantly.
What you need
- A computer or phone with a modern browser: Chrome, Edge, Firefox or Safari.
- An internet connection. Our servers are in Europe (Amsterdam) and the US — pick the one with the lower ping.
- No sign-up required: guests play right away. Signing in with Google, Discord or email keeps your rating, rank and settings.
What you can play
Classic bomb defusal and hostage rescue, AWP and aim maps, Deathmatch, GunGame, zombie, Hide and Seek, Deathrun, bunny hop, KZ and surf. There are servers with built-in cheats, a rating with ranks, a leaderboard and map votes.
Free
Playing is free, with no time limits. There are no ads in the game.

Questions and answers
Do I need to download anything?
No. Nothing to install — the browser downloads the game files once (about 150 MB) and keeps them in its cache.
Is this the real CS 1.6?
Yes: the original Counter-Strike 1.6 maps, weapons and rules on the Xash3D engine running in the browser. The servers are ReHLDS with the usual plugins.
Can I play with friends?
Yes. Open a server page and send the link to your friends — they join the same server. You can also set up your own server.
What ping will I get?
It depends on the distance to the server: from Europe usually 30–80 ms to the Amsterdam server. Pick a server in your region.
